Patricia (Trish) Geist

Trish has worked owned and operated Avoiding the Couch since 2021 providing Mental Healthcare services. Prior to open her own practice she worked at Cascade Community Healthcare from 2014-2021 in a variety of roles; internship, adult services clinician, adult services manager, and currently the Vice President and Director of Clinical Services. She holds a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Saint Martin’s University and has worked in Behavioral Health since 2004. She began her career working with the Human Response Network until 2006 and eventually in 2007 transitioning to Washington State Juvenile Rehabilitation services where she worked until 2014.

 

Trish is a Lewis County resident who attended local schools as a youth eventually graduating from Centralia High School. She is an inspirational leader who leads individuals, teams, and projects unwavering integrity and dedication. With a proven ability to quickly acclimate, ascend and become a positive and contributing force in an organization. She is an adept communicator with blended experience learned through a variety of jobs in counseling, mediation, advocacy, public relations, marketing, financial, organizational psychology, and criminal justice. Her goal is to strive towards engaging life in all forms, challenging conventional thoughts, systems, and engaging opposing philosophies to transform individuals and communities to success.
